Meet Jenya Draganova
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Hi, I’m Jenya Draganova. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and I have degrees in psychology, education, and counselling psychology.
My counselling style is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I often work through a somatic and mindfulness-based lens, which means we pay attention not only to what you’re thinking and feeling, but also to what’s happening in your body. I’m trained in Level 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-based approach that helps process trauma and emotional patterns in a way that feels grounded and safe. If you’d like to learn more about this way of working, you can visit my Somatic Therapy page.
That said, I know therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. You’re the expert on your life, and I’ll always tailor our work to what feels meaningful and supportive to you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in education for many years, often focusing on the emotional and mental health of the young people and communities I served. Over time, I felt drawn toward deeper, one-on-one healing work, and that’s what led me here.
On a personal note, I’ve experienced what it’s like to feel stuck in patterns that don’t seem to change. It was doing attachment-focused work that really helped me shift and heal. That journey informs the space I hold for others—with care, presence, and deep respect for your process.
I live in Squamish, BC, where I feel lucky to be surrounded by mountains, rivers, and a strong sense of community. Outside of work, you’ll find me outdoors, cooking something cozy, or making jewelry and art in my studio.
If you’re looking for a space where you can feel truly seen and supported, I’d love to connect.
